Most likely policy changes. A few other threads about this in other forums if you browse around. Here's one from Sac.

I never bothered with Hookers on CL so no loss to me. All seem low-end and/or spammers seeking Men who are new to P4P, take advantage of that fact, and out to rip you off from the start. Got everything I need right here.

This could be a result of the fact that a provider was murdered up in the Northwest and it just came to light late yesterday. The article doesn't mention a name but she was a SEA based provider known as Roxieroxie. CL posts up there in the Adult section are nearly invisible and not because there aren't ladies trying to post.

This link doesn't indicate she was a Hooker or anything about CL. If a Hooker is killed, for any reason, is there any indication (somewhere) that it was from posting a prostitution ad? Could have been a drug deal gone bad, robbery, or a variety of reasons.

The text from the link you posted is here. What am I missing?

Des Moines Police Investigating Woman’s Death As Homicide

Posted: 4:44 pm PDT August 31, 2010Updated: 4:47 pm PDT August 31, 2010
DES MOINES, Wash. -- Des Moines Police detectives tell KIRO 7 they are conducting a homicide investigation at an apartment complex on 25th Ave. South near South 240th Street.

A woman’s body was found inside one of the units following a 911 call just after midnight Tuesday.

Police say the landlord who lives in the complex reported hearing thumping sounds and the dogs barking more than normal.

When officers arrived they found the apartment door locked, the shades drawn, and the lights on.

Officers looked through a small window on the door and saw the woman on the floor just inside the entry way.

When they entered the apartment they discovered the woman was deceased. Investigators say it was evident she died from homicidal violence.

Police have not released the woman’s identity but say she was approximately 29-years-old and is believed to be the tenant of the apartment.

You're correct but it's common knowledge among the Seattle provider community that the woman murdered is Roxieroxie. Since it's an on-going investigation and next of kin possibly hasn't been notified, there's been little or no detail released. But I'm sure it will.

If you want some further clarification, you can check out forums at tnaboard.com or thehobbyhunter.com. Both have numerous posts regarding this unfortunate tragedy. BTW, no one on those boards is claiming to have any knowledge of what happened or if it was related to her being a provider.

If you go to pinkbook.com (sister site to myredbook.com) and read the Girl Talk you will see that it's becoming more difficult for the girls to post on CL. Lots of new rules about what can be and has to be said and how to say it, restrictions on what credit cards can be used, photo restrictions, so on and so on.

It's the 'do gooders' trying to eliminate the Adult Services on CL and putting pressure on CL through the Attorney Generals of 41 states.

Did something change? Yes, freedom of speech just died a little more.

Here is my favorite provider from CL

They're making all the paid advertisers (therapeutic, adult) re-submit ads for manual review according to new tougher rules. There's also some auto-rejection for vague reasons.
You can no longer use the words "young" or "fresh" in your ad.
