I am trying to get some muscle relaxants for my lower back-pain. Does anyone know a reputable website where i can get some?? I read in the past about these websites ripping people off... And do u need a doc's prescription for SOMA?? Thx in advance to all rb bros.

JD sounds like a decent substitute...unfortunately i am, get this, allergic to alchol - no joke. My body cannot break down alcohol as i lack the enzymes in my liver. Life's a bitch, i know.

If anyone has other suggestion to my SOMA question, pls let me know.
Thx all.

This is just input from an amateur, but it seems to me that if you have liver function problems you would be wise to steer clear of self-prescribing. Why not let an MD, who knows something about what various drugs need from your liver, help decide what's best in your particular case.

I was thinking that a liver function panel could be a good idea for anyone who claims to be allergic to alcohol. It certainly does exist, esp in some ethnic groups (Asian, Jewish), and is evidenced by an immediate flushing of the face and inability to tolerate more than a few mLs of alcoholic beverages. It doesn't mean that the liver doesn't function properly...but it doesn't hurt to look.

As for muscle relaxants...I'm a big fan Robaxin for my back problem, and I know people who find Flexerall effective. Soma is a big gun, and should be held out if other things don't work. Are you needing narcotic pain relief too? I have a fondness for a Vicodin with the Robaxin, maybe chased with a glass of wine if my back as put me 100% to the floor. In a pinch, MJ can do the trick, but of course it leaves you rather non-fuctional.

What's the deal with your back? Is it chronic? Have you tried ibuprofen/ice/heat/yoga/massage. (Heh, not that I'm hawking my own services, but perhaps an hour of FBSM is what the doctor ordered?)

As for finding it online..I'm not generally down for getting Rx online, so I'm no good at that. If you have insurance, you really should see a medical provider.
