"Help with loss of sensitivity"

Can someone help me? I'm 60 and over the last several years I've been losing more and more sensitivity to the point that now use of a condom causes loss of erection very quickly. Without a condom it's not like it was at age 20 but still quite functional and far more sensitive than with a condom. Not to get too graphic but the biggest difference is along the length on the sides where with a condom there is virtually no feeling and without there is sensation but requires a little more pressure than in the old days. The difference is like night and day. Is this a condition that can be treated or improved somehow? If not I think my hobbying days are over.

It is difficult to say without evaluation.

You can consider obtaining an ultrasound of the penis to evaluate blood flow. Metabolic diseases like diabetes
or thyroid diseases can lead to some of the symptoms you describe.

A urinalysis can be considered to evaluate for infection.

In any case, a urology referral is not a bad idea - this can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

   I agree GF,

There are so many issues that can be attributed to sensation loss and/or impotence. Blood pressure, diabetes, etc, etc.

What has helped my mature gentlemen is warming or tingling lube used under condom, a very thin-brand condom and a vibrator/cock ring (sold at drug stores next to condoms)

For the gentlemen upwards in years, a stronger vibrator, at the base of penis, underside can be helpful. But many times we have to continue with hand/vibrator only, condom off, as I don't do bbbj.

My advice is after diagnosis, accept that your body is different. Do
not label yourself as unhealthy or non-sexual. You are still a sexual being. We all change.

Research providers, make sure you are with someone who has awareness in this area or seems open to the idea of some trial and error within the session.

A friend who's had the same issue told me the trick is to rub a drop of lube on your cock before putting on the condom. It would cause the condom to deliver more of the sensation to your skin. The danger here is of course the need for precision - if you put on too much you might have an accident during the deed, and lose the condom. A slightly safer (slightly less effective) alternative is to put a drop of lube into the tip of the condom. This way if you accidentally put too much, you can wipe it out or get a new condom.

Please note the drop really should be literally a single, small drop, like how big an eyedrop droplet should be.

I think they make extra think condoms so you can feel it... Get a g/f so you don't need condoms and both get tested..

I feel for you that would be like having a guy using saran wrap on a girl to eat pussy.
