"Greens First is awesome :D!"

LAST EDITED ON 07-Aug-10 AT 12:52 PM (PST)

I bought some of this stuff about a month ago at massage school.

I had read about the product before and seeing it sold at wholesale on the school-store shelves was just the impetus I needed to finally make the purchase.

Not only does this stuff actually TASTE good - but after two weeks of drinking this daily, I feel really GREAT.

I mix a scoop-full into my iced tea, but I'm sure it would taste great blended in ice water as well.

Here's a picture of what the container looks like:

Eating fruits and vegetables, particularly dark green leafy vegetables, appears to have a protective effect against coronary heart disease. Annals of Internal Medicine, June, 2001.

“… the current evidence collectively demonstrates that fruit and vegetable intake is associated with improved health, reduced risk of major diseases, and possibly delayed onset of age related indicators. ” Diane Hyson, Ph.D., M.S., R.D.,The Health Benefits of Fruits and Vegetables: A Scientific Overview for Health Professionals, p.3.

Men and women whose diets were high in fruits and vegetables were shown to have lower rates of angina, arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, cirrhosis, gallstones, heart attack, kidney stones, and peptic ulcers.” Epidemiology, March 1998 ,Vol. 9, No 2, p 208.

"... a starting point… is the regular consumption of foods that are naturally high in antioxidants and other phytochemicals (fruits, vegetables…). These foods contain hundreds of biologically active constituents not present in dietary supplements…”, Michael Liebman, Ph. D., “Nutritional Tactics Against Cardiovascular Disease”, Natural Pharmacy, Vol. 5, No. 7, July August 2001, p 30

“ Understanding the intricate world of phytochemicals opens opportunities to use these botanicals for their inherently powerful dietary and medicinal value. Studies lend credence to their numerous disease-prevention properties.- cholesterol-lowering phytosterols, saponins, and phenolics; hormone mimicking sapogenins; blood thinning proanthrocyanidins; and eye-sight enhancing anthocyanins.” – C. Leigh Broadhurst, Ph. D., “Phytochemicals: The Ties That Bind”, Nutrition Science News, Vol. 6, No. 7, July 2001 P 262

ActiveX means it will only work if you use MS Windows.

If you're a Mac or Linux user, you're SOL.

I'm not sure what "ActiveX"-anything actually means.

I just really love the way the stuff tastes and the way it makes me feel.

I've tried other "super food"-type products and I like this product the best.

Awhile back, I actually asked the day manager at our local GNC what the "ActiveX" carrot juice, cherry juice, etc supplements were and she said "ActiveX" equals 10 servings of whatever you see "ActiveX" in front of.

It's always Summer at my place! xoxo
