Danny Cox, the Petaluma teen who was paralyzed from the chest down in a diving accident at Lake Tahoe last week, has been giving daily video reports from his hospital bed in Reno.

His family has been posting the short videos on Facebook and YouTube. In one, he shows that he can move his arms and scratch his face. In another, he gets a visit from his little brother, Charlie. In another, he does a commercial for "adult underpads."
In the videos, Cox displays a remarkable spirit and sense of humor in spite of the seriousness of his injuries.
Cox, 18, graduated from Petaluma High School in June and planned to become a firefighter. He is the son of Maureen McGowan, who owns Graffiti restaurant in Petaluma with her husband, Mark McGowan; and Chris Cox.
