"Advice on where to go in July?"
 
   I'm looking to go somewhere for a couple of weeks that is great for mongering in July. Ideally, a place that's not too hot or bad weather (i.e., monsoons or constant rain). I was thinking of Thailand or the Philippines, but it seems like July is not the ideal time to visit? What about Colombia?

   Dont let the weather stop you from going to Phils or LOS. You will spend a lot of time indoors with your new friends and wont notice the rain or heat so much!

Yup, rainy season is WAY more pleasant than hot season. And weather is often great in rainy season, interrupted every week or two by a tropical cyclone. Airfare, not weather, is the number 1 problem with SE Asia in July.

In Colombia, altitude more than month determines the weather. July is rainy season on the coast. Medellin is lovely most any month.
