LAST EDITED ON 15-Aug-10 AT 03:35 PM (PST)
Hello fellow Rber'sI'm planning my trip to Bangkok from the end of November till the 3nd. week of December. I've got three weeks of fun and wondering about this year's high season. My last 2007 visit was during the high season & it was completely horrible. I spent a whole day from late morning till 10pm finding a place. With all the current political problems do you guys think it might be slower? I'm hoping to stay at the Nana Hotel but the odds might be against me. I made reservations during the last visit and the hotels stated that I didn't have a room. Is it better to book directly thru the hotels rather than internet booking sites?
How are things going in Bangkok? Does it seem like the tourist attraction has slowed down? I could do next year March but it's been wayyy to long. I've gotten back in the saddle of bartending in Sf and the money is starting to flow again. I know my way around but don't ever wanna run into this situation again. Do you guys know of other decent/clean/affordable places to stay? I'd rather not spend over 1600 baht a day on a place to sleep.
I'm going solo, so I would like to hook up w/some fellow Rber's. It's not as fun going to the red light areas w/out some buddies. I'm also going to visit Chiang Mai & the Philippines. I haven't decided on Angeles or Cebu. I'll take lots of pictures and post updates on any changes since my last 2007 visit.
Thank you, BUCKWLD
