"USA Visa question for Phils lady"

I have a couple Visa Questions for a Filipina lady. I hooked up with a "civilian" (is that what to call a non-P4P lady?). No money was involved (except date expenses). She and I were discussing her coming over for a month or two. Questions:

1 - Is it best to go through a Visa service or on her own?
2 - If a service, is there a good one to use (She's on Cebu)?
3 - what type of Visa - She inquired about a service and they said a tourist visa has a 50/50 chance and a fiance visa has a 90% chance (but I'm still in the process of divorce and won't be clear for at least 6 months)?

Concerning her eligibility (not sure what matters):
1 - she's got a college degree
2 - she's got a good job (that she can get away from for a month or so ... admin Assistant for a small government agency).
3 - ??? I don't know what else might be of importance ??

Any advice/suggestions would be helpful!

Maybe a bit foolish, but would love to have some excellent PI loving here at home for awhile!

Thanks, in advance!

I will refrain from saying RTFF and say only two words that were the title of a song by Aerosmith: Dream on.

So my take on the meaning of the comments from my experienced RB brethren is "she ain't gonna' get a visa?"

Am I getting warm here?

It is highly unlikely, but not impossible.

From the people I know, it is only the business owners who can come over here with a tourist visa. She could also get it if she's significantly wealthy. Pretty much what the US embassy is looking for is a guarantee that she'll go back to PI.

If she has a high position in a gov't job, that might be good enough. Anything with an "assistant" wouldn't qualify.

If she's none of these, I say there's a 99% chance of being rejected. I don't mean to discourage you. That's just my honest opinion.

Your best bet, just wait for your divorce to be final, and apply
for fiancee Visa... make sure you have pics of the 2 of you....

so you are looking at about one year of waiting, 6 months for your divorce and 5 to 7 months for her to come here....

I would say...if you really missed her...just go see her again in about 6 months...and then all you will have to wait is another 6 months for her to come here..... and it will give you another opportunity to get to know her more.....

She can still try the tours visa 1st... even if chances are not in her favor? there is nothing to loose by trying... just make sure she mentions that she is visiting an ill family member.

Good luck.

She has to prove to the us embassy that she will undoubtly return to Phils. If she has a large bank account and property in Phils then all she needs is a good reason to visit the USA. To see you will never fly but if she has an ailing relitive in the US it would be helpfull.

The K1 is one way but beware of all the risks. Worse case scenerio is you file for the K1, agree to support her for 10 years and she claims domestic violenece the day after she gets her green card.

Just do the research is all am saying.
