"S Sukhumvit Suites Hotel Bangkok"

My usual Bangkok hotel S15 is over 3000 THB per night for a double room with breakfast and internet during the high season (beginning the first of September), which is a bit expensive for me, so I am looking for a less-expensive girl-friendly hotel in the neighborhood.

I sometimes use Paradiso, Sukhumvit soi 10, the rooms are small but ok, however the breakfast truly sucks. An advantage is that it is around the corner from lo1ita's....

So I looked on the internet and found a website

http://www.bangkokguestfriendlyhotels.com/full-list-of-bangkok-guest-friendly-hotels.html

and compared guest-friendly hotels in the neighborhood with prices on www.latestays.com and found S Sukhumvit Suites....soi 21/23/cowboy area....anyone have experience with this hotel and guests?

http://bangkokguestfriendlyhotels.com.r24.asia/620455/S-Sukhumvit-Suites-Hotel/cur=THB ...(room price 2400 THB/night)...

Suggestions for other hotels well below 3K THB/night for a double room with (good) breakfast and free internet?

Thanks in advance....

Hi Roger,

I like the Dynasty Grande on Soi 6. I like it because it's fairly close to the action at Nana Car Park and Soi 4 you can take a shortcut up Soi 6 and use the overpass and head to the Beer Garden or use the Sky Train to wherever. It's also close to Lo1ita's...just use the alley at the end of Soi 6 (lo1ita's is right there) and it leads right to ..hmm...is it Soi 8...where there are restaurants and coffee shops, etc...it's also quiet...

I just plugged in a single night for a deluxe double non-smoking for Oct. 10th, for example and it's at $71 on Agoda. The rooms are comfortable and it's a good value for the $70, I feel.

Disadvantages are no free bfst, not close to Soi Cowboy and you do have to do a little walking to either Nana or Beer Garden and places to eat, etc. Also, I know there's wireless in the lobby, but not sure about the room, so check on that...there's internet right next to the hotel in back of the 7-11, probably a minute's walk so no worries anyway.

PM me if you want more info or whatever..

Good luck!!

FOD

Latestays shows (typically over your benchmark)
Davis going for about 1700.
Majestic Grande for about 2800.
Fraser Suites ~ 2975.
Dynasty Grande at 1598.
Swiss Grottino at 1600.
and S15 going for 2200.

SilQ website is going for 1800-2500. http://www.silqbkk.com/index.php

Grand President On Soi 11 might work for you. They have all sorts of options and packages. Many in your price range or less.

   Thanks for the suggestions.

Latestays shows S15 about 3000 THB/night after Sept 1 for a double room including tax and service, thus high in my opinion.

Dream is a better deal, nice hotel, stayed there once before, there is a bit of a wow factor for the girls with the blue lights under the bed. OK breakfast as well.

Latestays used to show the total price, now you have to click on a selection to see the total price and conditions....

I might try S Sukhumvit Suites or return to Dream, I'll check them both out next week when I am in Bangkok (staying at S15 with their good low-season price).

we are getting a deal on S15 at B2040 for end of August, but wonder why it rises 50% in September which is hardly high season.

I believe the rate is 2400 THB for a double room including breakfast at S15 until the end of this month, then the rate jumps up....

Does this make sense in terms of the weather? No....Does this make sense in the relative absence of tourists following the red-shirt fiasco? No.... Does this make any sense at all? I doubt it.

Surfer: Once you understand the Thai mind let me know please....might be useful in dealing with TGF and with bar girls....

Location and guest friendly wise hotel for about 2700 baht is my best kept secret. This five star hotel is about a 4 minute walk to Soi Cowboy, and BTS and the MTR is even closer. That hotel is the Grand Millennium but the trick is to book it on Latestays' Mystery 5 Star hotel on Sukhumvit.

Downside is at this price, internet is 500 baht more, and breakfast is not included. Your guest should check her ID in at the front desk for your protection. There is no charge for her. I've stayed here five times this year with an average stay of five days at a time. The beds are extremely comfortable (with a feather mattress pad) and the staff very professional. If you don't mind spending $85 a night, then I highly recommend this hotel!

S15 is second on my list of hotels.

Breakfast for 3? that means Roger has to limit himself to 2 over night girls, or risk paying for a 4th breakfast...what ever will he do?

Stayed at Dream several times. Very modern, good service and location. Also Adelphi Suites on Soi 8---quiet soi, good hotel, decent breakfast.
Have got some good prices in the past but no idea what they are asking now. Check it out.

   Thanks all for the suggestions.

I am presently staying at S15, Sukhumvit corner soi 15, great location, nice boutique hotel, girl friendly, and excellent included breakfast plus included internet. A bargain at latestays price of 2400 THB per night for a double room including tax and service.

Rates go up September 1 (why?), although not as much as previously advertised. So I have taken a look around the neighborhood for boutique (small hotels) which are in this neighborhood (close to soi Cowboy and NEP), citing latestays.com prices for a double room including breakfast, internet, and tax and service. Prices for mid-September, when I will return to Bangkok. Prices my go higher in October or November when real high-season rates will likely begin.

S15: nice hotel, nice rooms, great shower, fine location, rate will be 2600 THB per night starting September 1, up from present 2400 THB rate. Still probably an ok deal.

Dream: nice hotel, nice rooms, located just down soi 15 from S15, girls like sexy blue lights under bed, I remember ok breakfast from before. Latestays price in September for three-night minimum is a low 2300 THB per night including breakfast and internet for a double room. Probably the best deal around if you are staying minimum three nights.

S Sukhumvit Suites, new hotel, located right at Sukhumvit soi 21 (soi Asoke), thus less than 100 meters from soi Cowboy. Reputed to be girl friendly. I toured a few rooms yesterday, clean and modern, good bathrooms, superior room is small, deluxe is about the right size for me (and companion). Price on latestays in September is a low 2025 THB/night superior, 2475 THB per night deluxe. Some concern about street noise from proximity to Sukhumvit, but rooms seemed quite during brief visit.

I will check out Adelphi Suites, down soi 8, this morning. Latestays rates show 2250-2609 THB per night including breakfast and internet, rates higher on weekends than weekdays. Seems to be a good location, I'll check it out.

Likely plan for me is to return to Dream Hotel in mid-September, as I'll be staying three nights, and my recollection is that Dream is as nice as S15, just a block further from Sukhumvit. However, S15 has a bit of chic class, understated and cool, which I don't recall from my previous stay at Dream.

Note: a buddy recently stayed at Millennium on soi Asoke, 5 stars, relatively low price on latestays, however, management was rude and room was exceptionally noisy due to adjacent construction. He moved to Grand Sukhumvit, expensive, but lovely rooms and fabulous buffets (expensive).

If you like lolitas then you should just look down soi 8. Try royal Asia lodge. Clean cheap rooms but last time I was there tue buffet kinda sucked so I opted out of the breakfast buffet and saved money. I would do that and get breakfast across the soi at salil hotel. Very nice lil' spot actually. Quiet but close to the action.
