"Belize??"
 
   I am thinking about spending a few weeks in Belize and found no hits on my search. I assume that the reason is that it is a lousy place for mongering. They speak English, which is a plus.

Does anyone have any experience there?

   I've heard that it really sucks for mongering. Which is why I have no experience there.

   Though I was on a family trip, I always have a monger's eye out. I found nothing. Belize City is a shit hole and just passed through en route to the water taxi docks. We stayed on Ambergris Caye. The Caye (Pronounced Key) is family oriented and a small place where everyone knows everyone. Perhaps further south around Placentia will be a little better, but I doubt it. Your best bet will be other vacationers.

Go fishing and diving, drink the really inexpensive rum drinks and Belikan beer and enjoy the food. Also a heads up about internet down there. The house we rented had "high speed internet." Translation, 64k. I had to walk down the street to the Banana Beach Resort and sit in the bar and sip their 256k internet and $1.50 Pina Coladas (At 256k speed, you drink a lot of drinks).

Some brothels along the Hummingbird Hwy. Locals can tell you where. Also, both Guatemala and Mexico border towns have plenty of action. Cabs can take you there or just stop by any bar and the girls sitting together giving you the eye are open for business. Belize ain't no Costa Rica though.

   I had a nice gal in Caye Caulker but it is really not a place for mongering. I was drinking Belikins at a local bar and this girl came up and hung out. By nightfall, it was on!
There is a lot of aids down there too so cover it up!!!
The scene might be better in Belize City but I only passed through there........
