   Been around here awhile just not really into posting. Seasoned Philippine adventurer lol...literally been all over the country with one exception...Angeles...only passed by on the way to Baguio. I'll have a couple days to kill first week of September and I'm thinking of taking the plunge. Pacific Breeze works for me and bars like Dirty Duck etc are my kind of scene. I like finding the diamonds in the rough...not into the big rip off joints. I'll be arriving mid day, stay overnight and then back to Manila after check out following day. Been chatting up some AC girls online and getting cell numbers for short time on arrival as I here middle of the day is dead there. AC experts: would you be so kind as to give me some suggestions/recommendations on the local bar scene considering the recent political noise..or is it already back to normal? Or was it even abnormal? lol...dont want to waste my precious days if AC is in transition mode...like LA cafe was a couple months ago..just walked down a block to Amazonia though and plenty of daytime action. I here the LA deal is renegotiated now and business as usual. Any info would be appreciated...whats hot in AC..whats not..is Pacific Breeze a good choice? Is there a daytime massage place to partake? Basically, if you had my itinerary...how would you suggest I spend my time? Thanks in advance and you can be sure that from here on out if I have the time and info on other locals I will contribute to the forum.

   First I would open up another day to spend there if possible. Hardly enough time to fully appreciate the place with only 1 night. I wouldn't say that daytime is dead. There are at least 2 bars open 24 hours (Doll House, Angel Witch). Some open at 2:00 (Geckos, Tropix, etc), and the rest open at 6. Depending on what you are looking for Nifty's opens at 12 (I think).

My buddies who live there report that everything is still the same except for the number of door girls on the street, body painting is gone and no nudity in the bars.

Your Hotel is fine for a short term stay, right in the middle of things. I've never gone to a massage place there so can't help on that front.

Me personally, with such a short visit, would check in Hotel and walk over to Doll House, then Angel Witch. Around 1:00 or so I would perch at the rail at Kokomos and watch the girls walking to work. I would next check out Geckos and then Tropix (open 2:00). Heading up to Niftys if you need a quickie upstairs also works. For gutter dwellers Matrix Braun has "no panties" days on Monday and Friday and they are good for a quickie BJ in the back.

I'm quite sure that you will find plenty of candidates at those bars and enjoy your time....

As Joe says ... things are pretty much normal here. The door girl count is down, a little less horseplay at the bars, and I miss the body paint at Tropix or Ponytails. Some of the individual bar parties have been cut back as well.

As of noon today ( AC time Tues 8/24 ) PonyTails has reopened.

A friend of mine is here for his cherry trip to Angeles, he arrived last week. We ended up at VooDoo's at noon that day. Somehow the girls must sense his cherry status because he had about 6 girls piled up in his little booth. It didn't take him long to fall "in love" and barfine his first AC girl. The girls are friendly and VooDoo's is open early ( ??? ) or maybe 24 hours a day ( ??? ) Might be worth a stop there.

Stopped by Club Rio the other day .... the atmosphere there was a little tamer than usual. the BJ's that used to be had on-site for the price of 3 ladies drinks have moved off-site to the hotel around the corner ( my understanding )

In the current climate, I wouldn't expect that the no-panties days have necessarily survived at Matrix Brown but I never go there so I have no way of knowing.

Mostly things are the same, the bars and the girls are just as fun.

Beware of the scams, beggars, V & C salesmen and all the rest of the nonsense here, those are the same also.

Directly across the street from Pacific Breeze 2nd building is a pretty good massage place. 350 Pesos at their place 400 in your room. Quite a bargin!

And ........ PonyTails did not open today - Wed 8/25( Same sign as the last 2 weeks "Closed by the Order of the .... "

The atmosphere last night was pretty subdued and only moderately busy.
