"Need Hotel Recommendation in Pattaya"
 
   Did the search would love to try Bikers recommendation but since I will be working there having "Thai girls rock" painted on the front window isn't going to work.

Guest friendly, medium to up-scale near the walking street or not too far.

Any suggestions would be a great help. Looking forward to my first trip back to Pattaya since, well a very long time.

I suggest Siam Bayshore. 5 minutes walk from Walking Street along the beach, but a World away (quiet and classy) Agoda has a special for $59.

   Stayed at Secrets 04 August till 20 August,room was ok, but as a venue excellent, as they say, nice ladies, good food, and good pricing, pm me if you want details, John

I could not take staying in the Secrets hotel more than about 3 nights. The hotel off Walking Street is noisy, and is not recommended if you are a light sleeper. There is no elevator in the building also, and climbing up and down the stairs gets old as well.

Other than that, the rooms that I stayed in were ok and the restaurant/bar downstairs was convenient. Close access to Walking Street is the best feature of staying there.

Thanks for the info. That's a deal killer for me. I stayed in one hotel like that in Phuket and I regretted it. I had a room on the 3rd floor and climbing those stairs, after a few drinks, is no fun, especially for the female guests.

   thinking about LKRenaissance. Seems GF according to World Sex Guide forum and is "appropriate" given that I will be working. Any experiences?

What is medium to upscale for you? (could be the Marriott or it could be Best-Western) Do you have a budget in mind?

What kind of work are you doing? Do you require ability to meet clients or is it a web cam & noise factor?

How long are you staying?

How do you define, "not too far"?

Assuming a budget of 1575 (~$50 according to convertit.com), you can stay at the PBR or Eastiny or RG or Secrets or a few others. For a little more you could stay at Tim Boutique.

Without knowing more, I'd probably say Residence Garden as you can have a living room (suite) for a relatively decent rate with the FLB Bar discount and it's not too far from WS. (If memory serves, they upped the FLB/PTalk rate to 1450). Keeper would know more about that.

Alternatives---
Have you considered 2nd Rd from South Pattaya up to and including Soi Diana/LK Metro area?
Areca, Tim Boutique, LK, Pattaya Bay Resort (aka PBR)

Either that or rent a condo. DW has a few on offer so check with him.

**FYI: Right now, LK Royal is on special thru Latestays for 1399. (but outside your Geo requirements)

   Joe, stayed at the LK Renaissance numerous times and would recommend it. Just be aware to ask for a deluxe room or 1 bedroom suite if you want a full shower. The other rooms just have a hand wand coming out of the jacuzzi tub (which the Ladies seem to love). Unless they improved their breakfast recently I would not pay extra for it. Ishtar
