The rate charged farang (white people) at Sayuri depends on the papa-san. If he senses that you are new and don't know the price he will generally say 1800 or 2000 baht, plus another 500 baht if you have made the mistake of coming by tuktuk (best to walk the last few hundred meters yourself to avoid the taxi charge).

I know from talking to Thai customers waiting to select girls that the Thai rate is about 1000 baht (maybe 100 baht less for locals or regular customers).....of course it is useful to speak Thai to ask the Thai customers how much they are paying....

The rate depends slightly on the girl, a few are a bit more expensive, usually because they appeal to Thai men, meaning big tits and light skin color. Of course I usually select a smaller slender darker-skinned girl anyway.

This visit I selected my girl (who is very slender, pretty, small tits, and a complete starfish) and took out my wallet without asking the price, while discussing the girl in Thai with the papa-san. He simply said 1000 baht which is what I paid.

If you ask the price in English it is likely you will be charged a much higher price.

note: Pandora's is another soapy in Chiang Mai, further east and closer to the railway station. The girls there are more expensive, usually 1800 to 2000 baht, without an increase in quality or beauty, although once in awhile there is a very pretty younger girl there. Attitude is often better than at Sayuri....at double the price. The other soapy massage places in Chiang Mai are pretty much for Thai men only, the girls generally do not appeal to farang tastes, and sometimes the girls don't want to go with farang, but they have no choice, thus attitude.

note 2: girls at soapy massage places expect a tip....locals give the girl 100 to 200 baht for good service. I sometimes give more if service is very good (not usual) and/or if girl permits a photo (some do, some don't). In a few rare cases I have given the girl up to 500 baht if she kisses and provides CIM (very rare in a Thai soapy massage place).

note 3: service in soapy massage places in Bangkok is generally better than in Chiang Mai, but YYMV, papa-san doesn't always tell the truth about the service, and some girls have attitude with farang or (in Khorat for example) are allowed to refuse service to farang. I haven't been to a soapy massage in Pattaya, the service is likely good, as is the service (sometimes) at Christen's in Patong. Prices in Bangkok can be very high, and often include a farang "surcharge" bringing to total to 3000-4000 baht or even more for a "model."
