   Quite pretty, but by the time the plastic surgeons and makeup artists finish with ladies like this; they end up looking like a caucasian woman with a good tan. Maybe it is just the photo (airbrushing, lighting, etc), I have to go back and check out the video.

Ximena was a pretty little girl, as anybody can see from this picture.

No,no Ximena she`s a caucasian from Mexico. Mexico is ethnicly very diverse. Aside from original Indigenous peoples and first Spanish colonist, many Europeans immigrated to Mexico in the 19 - th and early 20 - th centuries. (British, Irish, Italian, French, Dutch, Polish) also from Turkey and Lebanon. Many Afro-Mexicans live in Veracruz area, and Asian-Mexicans in Mexicali.    The reference to many Afro-Mexicans living in the Veracruz area is of interest.

Four years ago in TJ, I met a woman at AB whose skin color could best be described as "indigo." I ran into her again a couple of weeks ago, and she is clearly of African ethnic origin. I had explored her backround when I initially met her and her reply was simply, "Why, I'm from Acapulco" as if that would explain everything.

The subject has intrigued me since it occurred to me that, unlike the US, the Caribbean countries and some of South America, there seems to be a very minute African presence or influence in Mexico. Never had met one before and cannot think of a single prominent Black in Mexican politics, sports, entertainment, etc.

Anyone familiar with Mexican history who can make sense of her Acapulco explanation?

Another one my fav. tall,beauty, tan skin looking European, but she told me she`s Indian from region Chiapas (near border with Guatemala). Take a wrong turn in the Mediterranean and you can end up in Greece, Italy, France, or Spain. Italians are mostly Caucasian right? Greeks? Yeah. Spanish? You bet. How about northern Indians, yup. Tricky this racial stuff, even more when euro-caucasians mix with negroes, and mongols, to use the old terminology. Now imagine humans after 500 more years of global intermarriage!
