Getting there:
From Frankfurt (M) Hbf ( M stands for Main and Hbf stands for hauptbahnof meaning station) catch a train S5/U5 on gleis 104 (track) going towards friedrichsdorf via bad homburg. The train leaves at 24 and 54 minutes past the hour and friedrichsdorf is the last stop.
It takes approximately 27 minutes to reach there and is very convenient.
To buy a ticket go to the automated ticket vending machine and at the top you will see a couple of buttons with different flags on them. The second one from the left is English. Press that button to get instructions in English.
The code for friedrichsdorf is 5125. upon entering this you will be asked to select if you want o buy a single ticket.
Select “zuchstag” button located in the middle of the machine as you look down. The machine will then ask you to choose between 2 routes.
Select 1. via bad homburg. I don’t know what the difference is but that’s what I selected and it costed me Euro 2 each way. Take your ticket and head down to track 104.
When you arrive at the destination the taxis are standing right next to the station . A taxi to oase will cost around Euro10.
On the way back the first train leaves at 0509 and goes out at hourly intervals. The 0509 train is ideal as you can plan to leave oase by 0445 and reach the station in 10 minutes or so. But beware that calling a taxi will take about 15 minutes or so. The receptionist at the desk can call one for you.Visited oase on a Wednesday night:
The place was exactly as described by the members. The atmosphere was amazing. I had luggage with me and since I could not find a room at pension wall I decide to visit oase with me baggage.
