I think you were very courageous to participate and show the side of both you and the profession that few Johns realize and in some cases, sadly just don't care about. There's real emotions, feelings and mental conflicts that are at play in this hobby... on both sides.

I'm no psychologist and actually not very deep at all, but these "conflicts" tell a powerful story about all of us. The guy who was in handcuffs in the room who said, "it's not really about sex at all..." was about as honest as they come.

Your a dumb ass. Thank you for exposing RB on national TV now it going to be on the new as much as craigslist. Just give it some time. The only reason I stopped posting on craigslist is because I didn't want my add on national T.V. I never had any problems with guys there. They were very nice to me, but I had to give it up, because it was on the news all the time and they would show random adds. Also now over the last few years they have been doing a lot of stings. I believe the same thing is going to happen here now epically because of you. I know the next time I get new photos I will put a blur over my face. So guys get a good look at me face now because my next photos will NOT show my face.

I hate to burst your bubble but This site has been on TV a couple of times in the past few years already. If you check the Archives you might even find the postings that talk about it. I believe KRON and KTVU featured screen shots on one of their news expose' on Prostitution back when there was the big creackdown on AMP's and AAMP's.

I agree with you ladies. More publicity = more trouble. Public pressure puts pressure on the cops to clamp down more.

It's like a massage parlor - if it's quiet and the cops know what's up, often nothing happens. Show it on TV, loud music playing till all hours disturbing the neighbors and the rep of the neighborhood, condom wrappers outside and so on. Then wait to see how long the cops turn a blind eye.

It's not about what the cops know, it's about the prudish general public pressuring the cops to shut it down.

It is foolish to think LE doesn't know about RB. They have access like everyone else. However, broadcasting it out to people who'd very likely never have come across it doesn't seem like a fantastic idea. They might be people who'd pressure local gov's to crack down. Look what happened to Craigslist... not that it was entirely the fault of media, but that certainly increase visibility along w/ traffic...

Agreed, it's not whether or not LE knows about this site (they do). It's all about bringing a larger spotlight on it. And 20/20 is a national network hyperbole-laden spotlight. Not good.

The upside may be that the national attention span to any issue is very short-lived, at best. So, this storm may pass in due time. However, make no mistake about it, this was a storm deliberately made to happen.

LE knows about every site out there and lately mostly because of the ridiculous posts and acronyms used on CL, they are out to get anyone who falls for their spiel. It's called screening your calls, going with your gut, and staying out of certain places. Experience is a huge plus when it comes to knowing when NOT to show up.
