"Giants vs. Cards"

A bit too interesting in the 9th, but a win is a win.

Two good starts in a row from pitchers, fourth and fifth starters, no less. Lincecum and Cain need to get on board.

Posey is just not very good (cough). Nice ropes by Panda and Huff.

At the moment, Milwaukee is scoring runs at will off San Diego, 7 off of LeBlanc.

I can't deny the fact that Albert Pujols is a fucking stud! I love watching him play. No homo!

If Big Albert stays healthy and keep hitting bombs, he's going to break Barry's all-time career home run record.

Puljos is so HGHed out of his mind it is not funny, and he's still not half the hitter Bonds was. Everybody was saying how A-Rod was going to destroy the career HR record, cleanly, and, um, oh well. "But he's got a ring." If Bonds had been on the Yankees he might have a half-dozen. That says nothing about roids, that's all about Ferrari teams against Fords.

The HR record certainly doesn't mean what it once did, but none of these guys could have produced like Bonds with one or two decent pitches per game.

The only pure hitter that could, that I've seen, and Twinklebro will hopefully agree or at least smile, is Tony Gwynn. Obviously not for home runs, but he was a fucking surgeon at the plate.

I see the giants winnin this game.
Carpenter has been great. But the lefue know that the Panda has been hot these last 10 games Huff & F. Sanchez seem to be geeting hot and Burrel has been getting base hits on location mistakes.
Also Matt Holiday is below .200 with runners in scoring position. So I will be ok if they decide to walk Pujols the entire game.
BTW don't the giants have a great recond againts the NL Central?

Ma-bum-Ga was effective on the mound today as the #5 starter. Did Bochy take him out too soon?

Huff homered #21. Getting hot for stretch run?

Panda hit 2 HR in last 2 games? Is it luck?

Did Freddy S get 2 hits today?

Good for Sanchez and Madbum. L & C are gamers who have always worked hard. If other things start coming together these guys are certainly not going to be keeping the team down. Same for Z.

I think maybe so, but you saw how quickly Pujols and company can put together a serious threat. I think Bochy reasonably thought that the humidity and Cardinal bats were finally getting to Madbum. He had pitched himself into, and gotten out of some jams earlier in the game, but did he have enough strength to do it again? That's what relievers are for.

You betcha!

>Panda hit 2 HR in last 2 games? Is it luck?

I wouldn't say it is just luck. More like he has hung in there, kept trying and things are maybe starting to come together for him again. I wouldn't say he is out of the woods yet either. The young man needs to lose some weight this off season... it couldn't hurt.

>Did Freddy S get 2 hits today?
I do believe he did, but don't take that as a definitive answer, better look at the box score.

Another weak performance by Timmy. Three good innings. than 4 runs, six hits in 1 1/3rd, and out in the sixth. He keeps this up, kiss the wildcard adios. Our best starter the last month has be Bummie, a 21 year old rookie. Go figure.

The Panda continues to leave lots of runners stranded on base and killing rallies. His last few HR's were solo.

If he was hitting like last year the Giants would be leading the division. They're hanging in there in spite of him, not because of him.

He should have been sent down to Fresno, if anything to lose weight.

Total collapse. After they are too far out to realistically do anything they will probably start playing better.
