"bitter coffee redux"

Months ago, we discussed ways around bitter coffee. Since then, I had been getting Oberweis Dairy's Breakfast Blend delivered. Had a tiff with them and found Community Brand Breakfast Blend (available on Amazon). I figured anything with Breakfast in it would be flavorful. I was right. After you drink a cup you almost feel like you've had a bowl of cereal.
Next on the list is for those looking for a nice nighttime cup of something. Postum was discontinued after 100 years, but there is a non-coffee drink called Pero. It's on Amazon as well. It has a coffee, almost mocha (light) flavor, and is as good as it gets for a nighttime drink. I have also mixed it with a little decaf, both instant, and found that pleasurable as well.
Back to Community Brand. Turned out it is a famous brand from Louisiana. I'll take it over Cafe du Mond, as it is not strong or bitter.

The key to having non-bitter coffee is the same as being successful sex worker.....CLEAN YOUR POT. Regular rinsing with a white vinegar solution will do the job nicely...both instances.

I agree, but I still feel the varieties I offered up have their place where people don't like strong coffee. I should have stated it better. Watering down strong coffee doesn't work.

I've been adding crushed ice to the filtered water poured into my coffee maker- it tastes damn good.

So that's why my squeaky-clean ATF tastes like pickle juice.
