"Madden 11--old Madden"

I have a question about the Madden game and gaming in general. We are way behind the times in this; haven't been into it much. We don't have a gaming system (XBOX, WII, etc). Right now, it's not our highest priority with our funds.

I see the last two years there has been no Madden for PC. Is that a permanent decision? If so, why?

And, if one were to purchase an old version of Madden for PC, designed for Windows XP, would it work at all on a newer (Windows 7) machine?

Wait, you don't have an XBOX, PS3, or WII? Yet you continue to live and breathe. WTF? How do you do it?

I guess EA thinks Madden isn't really a fit for PC. Its a 'console' game. You know some good PC games don't translate to the console either.

I'm a huge video game fan. I'm a huge football fan. But not a videogame football fan. Go figure.
