Yah, it's only a preseason game but it should be an interesting match-up.

Who wins? And who has a better record this year? Maybe they can both manage 9-7.

My cousin has been a long standing Raiders season ticket holder. Me being a true 49'er fan I always give him a bad time when the Raiders play. Tomorrow I am going up to enjoy their big tailgate party and have some great food. I have to be a loyal fan and hope the 49'ers have a winning season.

I like the Niners chances this year much better than the Raiders..The Raiders having added Campbell can win an couple of extra games but I think 8-8 is a big stretch, personally I think they will win 5 and the Niners will win 9.

The AFC West and The NFC West aren't very strong this year. I think the 9rs will have 9 or 10 wins. The Raiders will win 7 or 8 games.

Hoping to make it to the game. F- yeah!

Niners schedule looks to be on the "soft" side this year. Only a few play-off contenders and the rest in the "re-building" stages. More like "trying to find themselves".

If Alex Smith get some kind of protection they should do alright. The run game should be give Smith the confidence to step-up...but that hasn't happen yet.

Raiders? My be loved Raiders. Don't like Cambell wasn't sh*t in Washington and going to do sh*t in Oakland. Hope Bruce Gradkowski gets the call. He remind of Gannon-gets the job done!

"D" needs to stop the "f-ing" run and put pressure on the QB. They give waayyy too much time to the other teams. Leaving the 2nd to fend for themselves too much.

Darren McFadden $ Michael Bush are just wanting to get the call to let lose. Hoping they get over 50/50. Just too many errors.

This turned out to be a pretty interesting game to watch for pre-season.

Jason Campbell looked pretty good to me. I hope his injury isn't too serious.

Not sure why the Niners named David Carr as the #2 QB. I thought Nate Davis outplayed Alex Smith last week although Alex had some zip to the ball this week. Overall, Carr didn't look sharp against the Raiders but I guess experience counts for a lot in the NFL. That 2-point conversion on the last touchdown was pretty kool though.

What is this selective love affair with Nate Davis? He played better than Smith last week? You gotta be shitting me! He was 7-16 he threw behind two wide open receivers. He threw so high to another, he almost got him killed. He got sacked twice because of his indecision, and his most memorable 60 yd pass was so badly under thrown the receiver had to stop and wait for it.

There is a reason he is third string, just posessing a strong arm does not make you a QB. Just ask Jamarcus Russell.

I'm not overly enthusiastic about Nate Davis. He is a project and will take time to develop but he looks better to me than say, J T O'Sullivan or Ken Dorsey. I just think that bringing in Carr and naming him #2 after 2 exhibition games (only one of which he played) seems rather odd.

As for Nate Davis's performance, he doesn't get to work with the first string unit like Smith does so, yeah, he's gonna look out of sync. The Jamarcus Russell comment is not a fair comparison. Russell thought all he had to do was show up and he would be the MVP of the league. No work ethic whatsoever. That can't be said about Davis.

I believe Vegas has over/under on 49er wins at 9 and Raiders at 8. I think I'll place $100 on the over on each. I'm especially optimistic about Raiders (I am a Raider hater too). I think they have an unpolished gem for a coach in Cable and they remind me of the pre-Roethlisberger Steelers where they had a pretty good roster but just sucked ass at QB. With either campbell or Gradkowski they will not have a bad QB. maybe neither is Pro Bowl material but the improvement over Ja-mah-kus is 100-fold. AFC West is very weak this year.

49ers scare me because I'm not sure of Singetary yet. I think he does a great job at motivation, organization, etc..... but his time management during games has been poor. This can cost you. He should have the equivalent of a bench coach in baseball handle that for him.

Alex Smith is another one I'm not sure about. He is reminding me of Jonathan Sanchez of the Giants, excellent one start and horrible the next.

Carr is not a #2 QB. All the niners fan around know that now and will soon realize when Alex Smith get hammered. Smith does not look good running or throwing on the run. Hope he get some decent pass protection.

More than likely, Gore going to be the workhorse for them again.

Raiders still need to get that "D" going. Seymour and Kelly have to take charge of the middle.

Still not a believer in Campbell, just have to wait and see.

If the receiver had not dropped the ball at the goal line on 4th down in the last minute of the game, the Raiders would have won and Gradkowski would have had 3 touchdown passes and a ton of passing yardage. He looked better than Campbell did for most of the game.

The Raiders have two quarterbacks better than Russel and may very well need them both this season.

They need a healthy Schillins (who is out a few more weeks) back though. And they obviously missed Seymore in the run defense.

The defense looked pretty darn good against the first team Niners. The backups gave up an 80 yard touchdown drive in the waning moments that cost them the game.

It's an exhibition game..Crabtree didn't play, Vernon Davis didn't play and trying to come up with scenarios of how the Raiders could have won is pointless..They play in the regular REAL season this year and then we'll see who's best.
