"20 year anniversary of the death of Stevie Ray Vaughan"

One of the greatest guitarists ever and he put on some of the best concerts I have ever been to..I still remember getting a phone call at 7 a.m on a weekend telling me of his death.

I got to see him only once at a small Berkeley venue but my buddy said it was too loud for him so we left at the break. I LOVED it and figured I could always go see him again, but shortly after he was killed. I always wish I had stayed to see the whole show.

Anyone that can sober up and then blaze twice as hot while channeling both Albert King and Jimi Hendrix is more than memorable. Great musician and person. He is missed by me. His music is enjoyed all the same and glad that he had a chance to create it.

LAST EDITED ON 02-Sep-10 AT 08:11 PM (PST)

Saw him touring with Joe Cocker long time ago at Mt. View.

At one point, he fucking played the guitar with his foot and it still sounded great. Awesome guitarist, was a sad day indeed when he passed.
