"Strange Brew: Making Your Own the Right Way?"

I use to brew my beer in carboy (big glass Arrowhead drinking water bottle)using canned syrup wort, a large pot, cork, and clear plastic tubes, a bottling press, brushes, and the floating glass bulb that measures alcohol density.

The kits now days under $100 uses a couple of plastic white mop buckets! WTF! What happened in 10 years?! I've got to scoop my brew out of a pale? What is this, the San Quentin method?

Anybody know of where I can order a decent kit so I can teach my son (just turned 21) how to brew a fine drink we both can be proud of?

Thanks.

All home brewing kits are pretty much the same in quality, And around $100. We have the Coopers and I love it. We make IPA. But if you want something top notch, try this one.
