The Peninsula Hong Kong. It was expensive, but worth it!

The Plaza Hotel in NYC. I like the views overlooking Central Park.

Wynn Las Vegas. Probably the nicest hotel in Las Vegas.

The Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Love the atmosphere and the modern design.

Westin Maui in Kaanapali, about 2 miles north of Lahaina. Great pool
and steps to a fine swimming beach.

Royal Plantation, Ocho Rios, Jamaica. I truly felt like royalty while I was there with butler service, quiet accommodation suites with balcony and sweeping views, hosted in-room bar, attentative staff and personal tour arrangements around my personal preferences. The spa services lacked a smidge but the food was grand, the views and water impeccible and I spent 10 days in a dream. I ate a la carte instead of buying the all-inclusive but the management and chefs catered to my personal tastes. Seriously, they have a scapbook of stars and I felt like I'd walked out of a Hollywood movie into the land of perfection.

Harder to do hotels because there are so many. Based on hotel (and rooms) and not just the facility, Princeville Resort on Kauai isn't bad.
ditto...
LeMeridian Phuket (not a joiner friendly resort)
"W" Diamond Head
ShangriLa in Sydney ("Rocks" district)
LeMeridian (formally Park Hyatt-SF)
Westin Sukhumvit-Bangkok (most prefer Sheraton Grande)
Hotel Fullerton-Singapore
Intercontinental Hotel-Montreal (a VERY hobby-friendly hotel bar)

I doubt there are any hotels in the world where no one has ever had a negative experience. Just like hookers.

The SF Ritz-Carlton used to be great. But, after the Marriott takeover in the early 200's, there was a noticeable decline in quality and service at that property. It's not a horrible hotel, but not great as it once was.

The closest you ever got to the Ritz Carlton is when you picked up your mom from her Janitorial gig..You're a ghetto boy and not fooling anyone,if there's a vacancy at the double wide motel you're there.

No offense but it's obvious you're very uneducated and immature, so the chance of you having a job that didn't include fries is very poor.

What are you smoking, corvetteron? You're the one that told me you are using an unreliable wannabe street bookie and rips you off in juice on the spread odds, and you're just mad I'm using a reliable no juice on the spread odds offshore site and you're not.

A fairly objective question!

Not only ambiance, but service is what I am after.

For that matter, a little Hampton Inn could be in my opinion, objectively better than a 5 star hotel.

Some of the hotel chains have amazing staffs, that take care of your every need.

But if you want to rate by what I call "snobery" then in California

The Monarch St. Regis in Dana Point

The Hilton Gaslamp in San Diego

The Sheraton Grant in San Diego

The Hilton Beverly Hills

The Palm Springs Marriott Resort

The Ranch Post Inn in Big Sur

The Spanish Inn Carmel

Sunnyside Hotel in San Francisco

Westin St. Francis San Francisco

Awahnee Lodge Yosemite

I have been to some amazing hotels all over the world, much to many to note, but for just sheer elegance, these stand out.

The Burj Al Arab United Emeriates

The Waldorf Astoria New York

The Biltmore Phoenix

Tapitio Hilton Phoenix

El Conquistador Tucson

Moon Palace(s) Cancun

Hilton Florida Keyes

Waikiloa Hilton

Sheraton Maui

Hilton Bora Bora

But then again the rooms are extraordinary
