   The first names announced were the women: The six women signing on for some serious dance lessons include R&B and pop singer •Brandy, •Florence Henderson, •Jennifer Grey of 'Dirty Dancing' fame, •Bristol Palin, "Drop Dead Diva"'s •Margaret Cho and "The Hills" star •Audrina Patridge.

Then the men of "Dancing with the Stars" were announced: They include •Michael Bolton, "Jersey Shore"'s •Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, •David Hasselhoff, NFL quarterback •Kurt Warner, Disney Channel's •Kyle Massey and ex-NBA champion •Rick Fox.

"Dancing with the Stars" will premiere on Monday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

I don't get this show. Can someone try to explain to me the appeal of watching former and pseudo celebrities, who's other recent works no one can be bothered with, dance of all things?

No one would watch just dancing, and no one watches these people, but put the two together and you've got a mega hit. D level celebrities singing, ice skating or magic is a no, but ballroom dancing is a big yes.

It's like the biggest show in the world these days and I just don't get it.

...and that's, one to grow on.

Because I'm not gay (and nothing wrong with it, etc, etc...), I only watch DWTS when there are hot women on it. Not enough eye candy this year so I'll be sitting the season out.
