Why? Both campbell and Gradkowski are better than Leinart is. Leinart was lesser version of jamrcus. He also thought partying was more important than working. He wasn't nearly as fat and lazy and made more of an effort but I don't think anyone in Arizona is convinced he went all out either.

   Good points. If Leinart would have come out a year earlier, he probably would have been picked number 1. And he does like to have fun, though I doubt he's a big consumer of Purple Drank. I should have been more clear that I keep reading the Raiders want him, not that I want him for the Raiders.

It was reported on Wednesday (before his release) that the Raiders, Bills and Giants had discussions with Arizona about trading for Leinart. On Oakland's part, that was probably motivated more by Al's trophy mentality than any tangible need. Later that day, the Bills and Raiders said they weren't interested. The Giants need to fill a hole at backup QB, so that's his most likely destination.

Latest rumors were right. Looks like he'll come in as #3 QB and settle in as #2 behind Matt Schaub.
