why do americans put ricotta cheese?

Chelsea you may already know this tip but you can substitute ricotta for low fat cottage cheese..
I think its the same great taste without the calories. I like to add minced parsley to the
ricotta or the cottage cheese.. looks nice as far as presentation when serving..

   Thatlooks so good Madison, but the thing is I don't like any of them and that's not how I make...

I just use the sauce and cheese for filling...

I use zuchhinni, eggplant, sometimes even carrots. Use a large cheese grader to cut them add them in on top of meat. But the real secert is in the home made sauce.

My mom uses firm Tofu in place of ricotta,similar texture and high in protein.
An affordable alternative as well.Mighty tasty too!
