77 degrees is the best temperature when it is over 100 degrees outside. I am able to get away with 77-79 degrees when it is 95 degrees or lower and 63-65 degrees in the winter.

Ac works well when you put it at this temperature. If you put the temperature lower than 25 degrees cooler than the outside temperature you can be in jeopardy of you ait conditioning to fail and conk out! I was told this one summer by my ac technician.
Which means after 102 degrees who knows what to do....
