Ahh...someone out there who isn't conditioned to just put sweet stuff in oatmeal!

For me, it's tamari soy sauce and maybe some Tabasco. Sprinkle some nori seaweed on it and you're good to go!

Makes sense to me. Thatís the only way I eat oatmeal, and only if all the chocolate chip cookies are gone.

Fresh strawberries (chilled) and caramelized bananas (cinnamon, brown sugar and either brandy/Grand Mariner). I save the adult interpretation for those lazy Sundays.

I put cinnamon, ground flaxseed and cocoa powder in mine.
Topped with fresh fruit, most often bananas, lately fresh strawberries or whatever fruit is in season. Oh yeah, I also add unsalted walnuts, cashews or almonds.

Never put anything savory like sricha or tamari/tabasco on oatmeal.
Not sure if I'm ready to try that yet.

If it weren't for the last minute a lot of things wouldn't get done...

Rather than cook oatmeal in just water I cook it in steeped tea, lately I have been using Good Earth Organic Sweet & Spicy Herbal tea. I use just plain nature's path instant oatmeal, its basically emergency breakfast food at the office

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=348639&catid=184325&aid=338666&aparam=348639

http://www.vitacost.com/natures-path-organic-instant-hot-oatmeal-original-24-packets?csrc=GPF-058449000006&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=058449000006

Then just add cinnamon and maybe some granola or flax.

I used to use Trader Joe's organic orange spice rooibos tea but the bastards discontinued it!!!

Gosh you all actually eat Oatmeal. One of the joys of emancipation was to not have to eat oatmeal. I also, imagine people put milk on their oatmeal. Milk is not good for grown folks.
My idea for breakfast is, hot biscuits dripping with butter, pork sausage spiced with sage, Potatoes fried in a skillet with red and green bell peppers, onions, sliced garlic cloves and black coffee.

I take Lipitor for the cholesterol, lol.

I once asked a friend why he started eating oatmeal. He said, he started paying attention to what the old men were eating and saw that they eat oatmeal. Way to go for longevity. So far Iíve been making it on heredity. Perhaps I should start thinking about contributing with better eating habits, lol.

   >>Milk is not good for grown folks<<
True. It gave me the shits when I started drinking milk for protein. It has been about a year or more for me drinking milk with lactase enzyme in whey supplement. I can now chug a straight glass of milk and not have the shits the rest of the day. Older people lose the ability to produce lactase in their bodies because they have stopped drinking milk. I don't know why, but I can now drink milk straight,. No ill effects. No Harvard study needed, the more milk you drink, the less lactose intolerant you will become, but it tdoes take a while,
