I would like to share with you some information when being busted.This is for Orange County area, LA might vary but similiar when being busted for the first time. You can post bail on yourself, it's not that expensive for first timers. If you have a previous record they will keep you longer until a date is set to see the judge. For first timers you will stay 24 hours in county jail regardless, because they want to make their money ofcourse. So get someone to bail you out quickly. You DON'T do any jail time on first time offense even second sometimes, but third time, yes 90 days. Judges in OC I have found are fair and objective, they are the ones who can make you or break you, not the police. Judges know cops lie alot on police reports (you need to obtain a copy for yourself.
You can go to your own plea hearing you don't need an attorney for that. This is only to see the judge and make a plea of "guilt" or no guilt" tell the judge, you need time to find representation. This can be post poned again if your not ready by the first date given.
Just communicate with the judge always.
You will suffer from shock so do what you can to clear your mind and interview each attorney. If you go to trial, it could cost at the minimum 10,000. Most of the time women do get aquitted from these cases, because it pisses the jury off, cops entrapping women.
You need to check thoroughly each attorney creditials, DO NOT use an attorney if he or she is NOT a criminal attorney.
If you are found guilty it's misdemeanor and 3 years probation for first time offense. You don't want that, it's better to have it dropped or changed to loitering. Under these conditions you don't even have to appear in court, you can have your attorney appear for you. There are ways of doing this.
Yes you can have this expunged at $125 dollars after your probation clears, it is never erased only sealed. If you are aquitted no worries, but check to make sure the charge is dropped. Not everyone does their job right.
TIPS:
LE is will do their best to entrap you again.
Change your cell, change your email, take down all ads...
they will use this against you forever...and never forget you.
Your clinets can or will try to set you up if the police contact any of them. Don't communicate with them anymore.
from this point on trust no one....but your self
you should look for a regular job, if so, lie on the job application, never tell the truth to anyone.
Some companies check, some don't if they do move forward and find another job. Don't place yourself in a postion to explain, you won't get the job anyway. This will hurt you for along time, to repair your life, but it will get better. Educate yourself and find out your legal rights and the basic law for this, it's a misdemeanor, petty crime, it can be fixed, just be thorough with the situation.
Place cops entrap:
adult friend and other sex sites
they pretend to know your clients
they will hack your emails or system
they will use other people you know, to get to you.
