"DUI Checkpoint on International in Oakland"
 
   OPD with their friends from CHP are running a DUI checkpoint on E14th. There are tow trucks and crowns vics on the southbound side of International between 66th and Hegenberger. Directly in from of the elementary school.

Be safe. If you don't have a license expect to have your car stolen and auctioned off in 30 days.

So much for OPD only handling serious crimes and being short on manpower. They were pulling people over like mad in that same area during the week for missing front plates and tail lights out.
We could seriously use a second round of layoffs.

   No, what we could really use is a dept that cares about protecting people from crime rather than gong after easy money.

   Dude, bad info. This is not correct and I did drive 'thru' the check point after the Giants game and all was well. No fuss. It was more about redirecting traffic..........

   Kong the tow trucks were there to just make sure you got thru traffic ok. No bad info OPD was 10 deep to make sure your ride home after the gians game went well. Matter of fact they weren't sure you were coming back so they did the same thing yesterday on the 20th. Car after car parked in the Goodwill parking lot. Some kind of huge van and tables set up in front of the cell phone shop block over from Wendys. All for your convenience Kong.
